Much better than I anticipated. Sturdy. Lightweight. folding stock locks up well with no play. Assembly took about 1 minute with no issues. Used original stock screws without a problem. Wish they made similar items for savage rifles

This stock is easy to install. It also still kept the Remington free floating barrel just like the original. The only thing I had to adjust was to Dremel the stock where it latches when folded. It was way too hard to release. I like it.

I didn’t have really high expectations for this stock as it’s for a cheap Remington 597 .22. The previous review was good and I agree this stock is a massive improvement on the the factory stock and the fit and finish is decent.

It fit my Remington 597 just fine. Locking mechanism is a little tight. Punch it open if you have to? Takes 5 minutes to fold your .22lr.
