Thermal optics such as this RattlerV2 scope can be used safely and effectively day or night. While thermal optics do typically perform better at night due to temperature differential, you can safely use them 24 hours a day. Please keep in mind that thermal optics will display one of the available color pallets, such as "black hot", regardless of lighting conditions. Thermal optics do not show you real life colors like a normal scope. If you would like to see more detail on the animal, I would recommend looking at our 640 or even 1280 sensor units.
You can't see horns unless they're in velvet. Once they are grown and velvet is gone they aren't warm enough to see
Yes. It is perfect for this. The only issue I’ve had in the field is the sunlight “washing out” the image if I’m standing in the sun. Much like the sun shining on your television.
