does this tool mount on a mounted scope on a varment rifle?

It can be if you have a picatinny rail mount on your scope and get the picatinny adapter mount for this monocular.

Question: Will the Armasight Spark CORE II "see" green laser or will it only see IR laser?

Green lasers may damage the unit as it would be too bright. It is designed to be used with IR.

Armasight calls this Generation CORE, it's better quality than a Gen 1 tube, but not quite as good as a Gen 2 tube.

Yes, old night vision was called "Starlight", but this is just a standard night vision monocular. The specifications for the illuminator are as follows:

Built-in IR Illuminator
— Power - 50 mW
— Illumination Range - 20 m
— Focus Distance - 3 m
— Illumination Wavelength - 810 nm
