This unit cannot be used with magnified optics effectively. This is a thermal which means the optic would have to be mounted behind the eyepiece of the monocular. This means that you would be theoretically zooming in on tiny screen in the eyepiece to get your image through the normal day scope. It is not an effective use of this monocular.
