Would you have to remove from rail to change battery?

Yes. The Barska 1x30 ION Reflex Sight will require you to remove the sight from the picatinny rail mount and load the battery from the underside of the red dot.

Will this fit walther q5 match

No. The Barska 1x30 ION Reflex Sight uses a picatinny/weaver style base to install on picatinny top rails. The Q5 match would not be able to fit this optic unless you found a picatinny rail that can fit to the top of your slide.

This will not work on an M&P 2.0. It is meant specifically for firearms with a picatinny rail.
