Would I be able to use this on a CMMG MK9 lower with a Leapers UTG ambi mag release or will there be a space issue?

The Battle Arms 9mm Development Enhanced Bolt Catch will be compatible with your CMMG MK9 lower as it is a drop-in upgrade to the existing MIL-SPEC bolt catch. However, I am unsure if it will be compatible with the UTG ambi bolt catch as well although it should still work.

The AR15/5.56 model offered on this page is made of Titanium, and the standard model offered on a different page is made of steel.

does the 308 version for for 556? I thought those pieces are interchangeable?

The bolt catch is not an interchangeable part between a 5.56 and .308 since each caliber uses a different size bolt carrier.
