No. The Battle Arms Development Mid Length Lightweight Fixed ButtStock Combo will include the lightweight Receiver Extension/Buffer Tube and end plate.

is this A5 or Carbine?

This is closer to that of an A5 buffer tube. The tube is 8.5" compared to the carbine length which comes in at just under 7".

The tube connects directly and is a part of the stock. The kit will include the end plate.
