Can this sling be used with a Sig M400? How does it connect to the gun?

Yes, this sling doesn't include any clips so it will attach by wrapping around a part of the sling mount or the opening in the M400's stock.

How is this attached to the rifle can it attach to the Daniel Defense buffer tube attachment point or is extra equipment required

This sling uses an elastic-encased MASH clip.

The Daniel Defense rifles appear to use a QD socket, but it's not entirely clear from the photos at the DD website - you may wish to contact Daniel Defense for clarification, you can reach them at (866) 554-GUNS (4867).
