How thick is the plastic panel? I've heard a lot of good review on this case, but wonder if the plastic panel is as thick and rigid as the Pelican.

We don't have a measurement on the thickness of the plastic, but it is a very high quality case very similar to cases like SKB and Pelican.

What are the dimensions of this case . I have an air rifle with thumb whole stock and a vortex 6x24x50 scope.The rifle is 41in long .

The case measures 48" x 9" x 4" internally, while the exterior dimensions are 50" x 12.5' x 5".
