My boss, whom I'm not going to question with annual reviews coming up, says the .28 Nosler is a Long Action.

All four of Nosler's Cartridges - the 26 Nosler, 28 Nosler, .30 Nosler, and the .33 Nosler are based on the same .404 Jeffery parent case.

To mount the Vortex Viper PST 5-25x50 to a Browning X Bolt using the Browning X-Bolt 20 MOA Picatinny Rail I recommend using the Vortex Precision Matched Rifle Scope Rings located at the link below. I suggest you use the 30mm diameter 1.26in high Vortex Precision Matched Rifle Scope Rings, these are model number PMR-30-126.

A 20 MOA rail is designed for long range shooting. If you are using your rifle primarily for hunting, I would not recommend it for that use. It is not available in Burnt Bronze at this time, only matte blue finish. I would only use a 20 MOA rail for 600 yards and longer. 600 yards or less, it is not needed.

That caliber is considered short action, so you'd need the MPN: 12521.

NO, this will not fit a BAR. Browning does not make a 20 MOA Rail for a BAR.
