No, you cannot use AA batteries with this weaponlight. You cannot use CR123 batteries either.

This light only works with 18650 batteries, anything else will void the warranty.

As stated, the light comes with 2 quality batteries and a charger so it is ready to go out of the box.

No. AA batteries run on completely different standards and are typically not as energy dense as 18650s even when made of Lithium.

But that doesn't matter because the Cloud Defensive OWL comes with it's own rechargeable batteries and charger...

AA batteries are not the same size as an 18650. The current and voltage are both far too low with an AA as well.

With batteries, the physical size is immaterial - the voltage, amperage, discharge rate, etc. is what matters - 18650s are Li-ion 3.7v 3500mAh, 12.5 Wh, AAs can't touch that

14500 batteries are an equivalent size to AA, 18650’s are bigger if you are going off of a size comparison
