Yes, the CenterPoint 1-4x20mm Rifle Scope will be compatible with a .22 LR AR pattern rifle.

Will this co- witness with iron sights on the AR platform, or should I go with offset sights?

It will at 1x but when you increase magnification, the iron sights will not be as viable.
