I want to use this for security on a long, wooded driveway. Can it alert me when it senses motion?

This model does not have remote access or cellular connectivity. Unfortunately, it would only be able to record activity. You'd have to use the images on the SD card after the fact.

It says the illumination range is 100 feet. What is the detection range?

The Cuddeback 20 Megapixel Ir, Trail Camera has 24 IR LEDs that deliver crisp black and white daytime/nighttime images out to 100 feet. The detection range is the same as the IR illumination range.

Does this model have "black flash" so as not to alert/scare game. I currently have a Bushnell Trophy HD that has it.
