They both have the same length slide, which is where the spring is installed. So this works in both. (The 3.7" barrel of the XMACRO extends the length of the slide while the 3.1" barrel of the XMACRO comp/Legion stops short of the comp ports in the slide)
While the Macro comp has a 3.1 in barrel the recoil spring is the longer xl spring. You should be looking at spring size not barrel length.
Your barrel length is independent of your slide length. Your slide length dictates your spring and rod length. The x macro comp has a 3.1” barrel but has a 3.7” slide length. I know you guys are used to the barrel and slide being the same length and as such that’s how you understand spring to barrel length measurements. Because the macro comp slide continues past the end of the barrel, the spring also extends past the barrel. I’ve built about 250+ custom p365’s for our shop. A 3.1” spring will be too short for your xmacro. Comp or not. Unless you’re doing what a lot of my clients want and that’s running a 3.1” slide and barrel with a comp like the radian afterburner on a xl or macro grip.
Product description for this version is incorrect. I know because I purchased this for a X Macro Comp. The Comp is a 3.1 barrel. However, product packaging when it arrived clearly states 3.7 barrel! Unless wrong product was packaged and sent. Going to keep because I have a new XL slide and 3.7 barrel coming. Otherwise I’d have to return and try to find the 3.1 variant.
X-Macro and X-Macro Comp, has the same slide length of the P365XL so the system is share to both versions.
The most X Slides are ported or comped from the P365XL 3.7", and the barrels are from the 3.1" model.
This means that the system is compatible and shared to all these slides.
