The scabbard dimensions are of the scabbard on the pack, so if you are fitting a 60" firearm, the stock of that firearm would stick out the top of the pack. All of the Gunslinger II packs come with the GSTC Butt Cover as well which can be attached/detached from the pack and allows for a 60" firearm to be completely enclosed on the pack.
