I'd personally recommend the 1-6x as it is the most well rounded, but you could always pair the 2.5-10x with a red dot for even more functionality. It really depends on what your plan is for the rifle. But if its meant to be a do-all, then I'd personally prefer the 1-6x24 because of its capabilities at the 1x, "no magnification" setting.
The EOTech Vudu 1-6x24 FFP Precision Rifle Scope reticle is etched into the glass so it can be used even without a battery or illumination. So when you zero the rifle you will be manually adjusting the reticle position to line up with your point of impact. The battery does not effect the reticle adjustment.
The EOTech Vudu 1-6x24 FFP Precision Rifle Scope with the 5.56 BDC reticle is calibrated with a 75 grain BTHP. However, the BDC reticle can be accurately used with other cartridges.

It should not make a significant difference. It will of course make some difference depending on your overall set up, but if you are not shooting precision with it, then it shouldn't make a massive difference as long as the specifications are not extremely different for the ammo.
You can use either MPN:VDU1-6FFSR1 or MPN:VDU1-6FFSR2. The SR1 is a standard MIL style reticle and can be used with any caliber and the SR2 is a 7.62 reticle which will be caliber specific to 7.62. It can still technically be used with any rifle in any caliber, but it is calibrated for easy use with a rifle in 7.62.
The riflescope is manufactured in Japan.
