I have a VP9 non optic ready..is this compatible and would mount a Vortex Defender ST or a Vortex Defender CCW?

The Evolution Gun Works Leupold DeltaPoint Pro Sight Mount will be compatible with your VP9. It will allow you to mount the Vortex Defender ST and Defender XL. The CCW model uses the smaller RMSc footprint and would not be recommended for this plate. You would also be able to mount optics such as the Leupold Deltapoint Pro, Eotech EFLX, Holosun SCS-320 and more.

What optics work best with this adapter plate? Seems like the optic will be far back on slide?

Smaller dots with the RMSc footprint and K series holosuns work the best with this adapter. The Defender XL and DPP may hang off the edges of the plates a bit since they are large dots on a small footprint.

Will it mount to a Browning high power 9mm

The Evolution Gun Works Leupold DeltaPoint Pro Sight Mount is not compatible with a Browning Hi-Power (9mm). Unfortunately, we do not currently carry adapter plates that would be compatible.

No, unfortunately this mount will not fit the PT945. EGW does not currently offer a mount that will fit a PT945.

Will this work on a ruger 1911 pistol.

No. The Ruger SR1911 uses a standard Novak style rear cut. So you would need a mount that will accommodate that cut. I'd recommend the Evolution Gun Works Leupold DeltaPoint Pro Sight Mount For Novak that you can find using the following link:

With this work on Shield RMR Red Dot

Shield and RMR are two different standards. This would be compatible with Shield. The adapter for the VP9 for RMR is here:

Yes, this mount will also work with the Sig Sauer Romeo 1 PRO. The Romeo 1 PRO and the DeltaPoint Pro have the same mounting footprint.
