Yes, this barrel and all of our 6.5 Grendel barrels use a SAAMI spec chamber and will require a Type 2 bolt.

Will a standard .556 A2 Birdcage flash hider fit this 6.5 Grendel barrel ?

No, a standard 5.56 A2 birdcage flash hider will not fit this Faxon Firearms 20in, Heavy Fluted, 6.5 Grendel Barrel. You will need to get a 6.5 caliber muzzle device that is threaded for 5/8X24 TPI. The muzzle device listed below will work.

The Faxon Firearms 20in, Heavy Fluted, 6.5 Grendel barrel has a rifle length gas system. So you can use any rifle length gas tube compatible with the AR15 platform and your gas tube of choice.

The Faxon Firearms 20in, Heavy Fluted, 6.5 Grendel, Rifle-Length barrel can use any .750 gas block. I would recommend a low profile gas block to allow for fitment of free float rail systems. I will link a potential gas block option below:

I have a 16” Anderson arms will this barrel work or do I need something else with it

This barrel will fit an Anderson Manufacturing AR-15 upper receiver. If you are converting the rifle from 5.56/.223 or .300BLK you will also need a 6.5 Grendel bolt or BCG (Type 2) and 6.5 Grendel specific magazines. You will also likely need a new gas tube (this barrel requires a rifle length gas tube) and potentially a new gas block.
