According to the manufacture, this item is NOT cold-hammer forged.

In barrel manufacturing, cold hammer forging is primarily used in the rifling stage. Faxon mostly uses button rifling (as is done in this barrel) and there may not be much, or any, advantage to cold hammer forging with modern barrel manufacturing.
