it is important to note "specifics" when asking ammo questions...when in doubt stick to the ammo your particular firearm is designed for.....now there are various '7.62' calibers....such as 7.62x39mm(Kalashnikov).....7.62x51mmm(similar to 308)....7.62x54mm(mosin nagant) etc..... now im assuming your question regards "7.62x39mm" the answer is no.......the only ammo exception (that I am aware of) for interchangeable rifles is the .308 being able to fire the 7.62x51mm but beware some 7.62x51mm ammo can be a little longer than others....when in doubt use only the rounds your rifle is designed for.........Period....good luck ;)
