As per the manufacturer, this tube can take the standard carbine buffer and spring.

is that a small hole in the flat end? does that go all the way thru? what is that for? drainage?

It's standard for pretty much all buffer tubes and serves to keep air from building up during the compression cycle and keep water from accumulating during wet exercises.

Does it fit standard carbine length JP Enterprises Silent Spring Captured systems? They are fixed length, until compressed.
