What diameter, to the thousandth of an inch, is the opening for the barrel extension milled to? Is a thermal fit necessary with most barrels?

Can this handle .458 Socom?

It should be able to handle SAMMI spec .458 socom factory loads just like any standard AR15 upper.

Is this made to Mill -spec?

The tolerances on our uppers are held to a much tighter standard than "mil-spec" and it should be compatible with most the lower receivers on the market.
