This is the version listed on Griffins Website as of Nov 2025. Has over travel stop machined into body.

How much louder is this?

An unsuppressed gun shot is around 160-170db. Since this muzzle device has two braking surfaces, it will add a little bit of concussion but it wont be terrible.

The Griffin Armament M4SD FlashComp XHP556FC has an outside diameter of .863". The Griffin Armament M4SD FlashComp XHP556FC will work with the Strike Industries OPPRESSOR Universal.

I’m new to muzzle mounts because my colt ar has a stock barrel and the factory welded muzzle mount. Can this be attached to that?

This muzzle device will only mount/install onto a barrel that has been threaded in 1/2x28.

This will work for either, it is a standalone muzzle brake/flash hider, while also allowing the mounting of a Griffin Armament M4SD suppressor.
