How do you determine what power to set the scope on for say 275 fps or 300 fps or 325fps etc to get a starting point ?

The scope has FPS markings so that you can set the power.

Does adjusting the FPS effect the ability to alter magnification?

Yes. Once a scope has been set for a speed rating, it will be a fixed magnification. If you alter the magnification/speed, it will negatively affect the reticle subtensions/drops.

Yes, the Hawke 1.5-5x32 IR Crossbow Scope w/ Illuminated SR Reticle should work fine with the Air Javelin.

Once I get it I lined up at 10 yards will it throw it off at 20 yards after I get lined at 20

The XB1 is designed to be zeroed at 20 yards. Depending on velocity, the point of impact difference between 10 and 20 yards is typically less than 1 inch.
