The HERA Arms 110501 IRS AR15 Rifle Aluminum Handguard has an internal diameter of 1.35". The Hatebrake has an outside diameter of 1.5" and would not fit within the handguard.

It should. The grip itself is 7.5". For the amount of rail you'll need 7", so it will be close, but should fit.

You should be able to swap this out with your existing rail - it includes the barrel nut and necessary equipment to properly install.

This will require changing the barrel nut and removal of the handguard retainer clip on the A2 front sight post of the Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II. To install the handguard, you will have to remove the A2 gas block.
