does this grip come with the screw needed for installation?

Unfortunately, it does not. Our Hogue grips are designed as direct replacements, utilizing your original grips hardware. If you do not have any, standard aftermarket AR15 grip screws will work.

Does it not come with the screw? When I received it, there was no screw for attaching, just the grip.

No, Hogue AR grips do not come with the screw as they expect the end user to be replacing a factory screw on a complete AR. So they want you to use your existing screw. If you are building from the ground up, then you will need to purchase an AR grip screw.

The Hogue AR-15 Overmolded Rubber Grip with Finger Grooves will replace the existing pistol grip found on your Ruger AR556. You will need to re-use your factory grip screw in order to install this grip.

Will the Hogue AR-15 rubber grip fit on my Springfield M1A SOCOM 16 CQB? Either the standard version or beaver tail?

The Hogue AR-15 Overmolded Rubber Grip with Finger Grooves will not fit a Springfield M1A SOCOM 16 CQB. The Archangel Stock that the M1A SOCOM comes in has an AK style grip and is compatible with other AK grips. So the Hogue AK-47/AK-74 Rubber Gun Grip located at the link below will work.
