Will these withstand the heat from a suppressor? I want to mount it on a 300 blackout and the ASR mount would almost sit flush on a 6” hand guard.

The Lancer Systems LCH5 Octagon Carbon Fiber Handguard is no longer available. However, carbon fiber wont bend or melt under exceedingly high temperatures, which makes it an ideal alternative to steel and other metals.

the lch5 & lch7 list different calibers. why does caliber matter on this handguard? & if caliber matters, what's the recommendation for a 300 AAC?

The difference is most likely due to the smaller frame of the AR15 versus the larger frame of AR10. Your regular AR15 upper will be the one that can utilize 300AAC so you would need the LCH5.
The LCH7 would be slightly larger or different in another aspect to better fit AR10 uppers that utilize 308 Winchester/7.62 NATO or 6.5 Creedmoor
