I have a MAS Defense DPMS Gen1 Hg w/ the barrel nut takes a flat style wrench head approximately 1 5/16 to 1 3/8. Does this wrench accommodate this.

The Leapers UTG AR15/AR308 Armorer's Multi-Function Combo Wrench might work for that barrel nut. However, the Leapers UTG AR15/AR308 Armorer's Multi-Function Combo Wrench has a barrel nut wrench designed to work with the UTG PRO Super Slim Free Float Barrel Nut. This barrel nut is a proprietary barrel nut and the manufacturer does not give information regarding its specifications. I recommend contacting Leapers UTG in regards to the compatibility of your barrel nut and the Leapers UTG AR15/AR308 Armorer's Multi-Function Combo Wrench.

A bit of follow up needed. Some users say this will work with aero bar barrel but while others say no it will not fit. Any input would be appreciated

Yes it should work, as Leapers states that:

• Provides the Means to Install and Remove Parts Often Replaced and or Reinstalled on Both the AR15 and AR308 Platforms such as: Standard A2 Flash Hider, Delta Ring Assembly, Rifle Length Buffer Tube, Carbine Buffer Tube Castle Nut, and More
• Equipped with UTG PRO Super Slim Free Float Barrel Nut Wrench and Compatible with 1/2" Torque Wrenches
• Includes a 3/4", 7/8", and 3-Prong Wrench Slot for Installation and Removal of Most Muzzle Devices and 3 Prong Flash Hiders
• Includes a 5/8" Wrench Slot and Flathead Screw Driver for Installation and Removal of Rifle Length Buffer Tubes and Fixed A2 Stocks, as well as, a castle and jam nut wrench

Will this work in disassembly and reassembly of the newer SIG M400 Tread barrel nut?

The Leapers UTG AR15/AR308 Armorer's Multi-Function Combo Wrench is designed to work with the Leapers UTG Super Slim Handguard Barrel Nut. From what information I could find the barrel nut for the Sig M400 Tread can be removed using a Standard AR15 Barrel Nut Wrench so I recommend using the one at the link below.
