2-18 -50 when are riflescopes produced for close range hog hunting

The Leupold VX-6HD 2-12x42mm Rifle Scope could be used to hog hunt. If you are looking for another option for a scope that has a lower minimum magnification with a 50mm objective lens, the scope at the link below is a 1.8-14x50mm scope.

I have the vx-6. very hard to turn ring to change magnification. ss#395979Y. The scope is 8 years old. Any advice what to do. I own 2 other Leupolds .

Does the TMOA Redicle come with the CDS option too? And Is there a focus on the side or not?

Yes, the scope with a TMOA also features the CDS technology. The scope has a fast-focus feature built into the eyepiece itself. The adjustment on the side is a parallax adjustment- Leupold's instructions are to "move your head slightly up and down while turning the side parallax or adjustable objective ring until the reticle does not move in relation to the target."

All VX-6HD and VX-5HD scopes are second focal plane. If interested in FFP, you can look at the VX-3iLRP, Mark 5HD, and Mark 6 models.
