I recommend using the Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope with the Ultimateslam reticle. This reticle was designed for muzzleloaders and shotguns.

Specs say parallax is fixed.....So what is it “fixed” at?

If its a standard Leupold Freedom model the parallax is set at 150 yards, while the Rimfire models have a parallax set at 75 yards.

Leupold tells me that the 176011 (VX-Freedom 3-9x40 .450 Bushmaster) comes with the CDS (Custom Dial System) calibrated for .450 Bushmaster, installed. As well, the Gold Ring is inscribed with ".450 Bushmaster",

If you have picatinny rail on the receiver of the Marlin 336 then the rings at the link below will work. You will not be able to see or use you ghost ring sights with the Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope installed.
