This Luth-AR .223 Rifle Buffer Tube Assembly is a complete standard A2 buffer kit to convert your AR15 carbine to a rifle length buffer tube recoil system. You would be able to use buttstocks compatible with the A2 buffer system.
A2 means "fixed" length and is not governed by milspec or commercial whatsoever. So if you had a A2 stock, you'd need a A2 buffer kit. You can safely switch your milspec carbine stock setup to a A2 rifle length without any issues, contrary to what some believe. A2 is also rifle length by design. There is no such thing as A2 carbine stocks or kits either. Just remember that A1 and A2 refers to a "fixed" type, not in a standard of milspec or commercial but by non adjustable and its own standard/type of stock. Lastly, an A1 stock setup is about 5/8"ths shorter than a A2.
