The Maxim Defense Industries SCW Acc Gen 7 Buttstock Assembly is considered a stock. So if you have an SBR Daniel Defense PDW the Maxim Defense Industries SCW Acc Gen 7 Buttstock Assembly can be used. If you have a PDW pistol with a brace the Maxim Defense Industries SCW Acc Gen 7 Buttstock Assembly cannot be used. You will need to follow the ATF regulations regarding AR Pistols.

This item is a buttstock so there is not method of using this on a pistol. You will need to look into the regulations for an SBR if you wish to put it on a short barrel firearm.
