If used with a Sig P226 factory 15 round 9mm magazine, will it increase magazine capacity by 1 round (16) or will the magazine hold 19 rounds?

If you use the original 15rd basepad and nip off the last bit of the spring that locks into the 19rd basepad, you can fit 17 rounds into a 15 round magazine. The 19rd basepad will NOT allow the magazine to seat when installed on a 15rd magazine body.

This kit is made to fit the Mec-Gar Sig P226 18 round 9mm magazine.

Can I use this to make a 40. Magazine into a 9mm? It has the same body you just need to swap out the follower to 9mm right?
