Will a standard site tool work or is there a special tool?

The depth of the two levels (from top of the top section to the bottom edge of the lower level) in total is 2.47mm/.097". I've seen some tools not be long enough but most should work fine.

Will this site work in the magpul flip up sights? The polymer ones.

This sight post should mount into the Magpul MBUS sights, those sights use the standard A2 sight post.

What is the finish like? If the post is round, it will pick up and reflect more light. Looks shiny in the pics.

It is a black nitride so depending on the light condition, so yes there will be a little shine off that finish. The pictures on this post pretty accurately depict what it will look like.

This looks like a two-piece post. Does the top part rotate independently so you can get a precise zero and then rotate the tritium?

It works exactly like that, yes. There are 5 notches around the circumference. And if you're looking down on it with the tritium facing 6 o'clock. The notches end up at 12, and 2, 5, 7, 10 o'clock roughly.

It will fit if they are the same spec as A1/A2 AR sights. Check with them.

This will install into the A1/A2 front sight post. There are videos on youtube that demonstrate the process.
