Both accessory rails can be removed, at least on the one I bought in Dec 2023. Just remove the two 4mm metric machine screws on each rail. It looks more streamlined with the rails removed and the shotgun will go in and out of a scabbard much smoother. Someone on Youtube used the remaining screw holes to install longer screws and nuts to make the mount more secure on the magazine tube, so that is an option.
