What height should I buy if mounting a vortex viper pst 4-16x50 on a Remington 700 target tactical? Thanks

The high mount, 1.125" is the height I would recommend. MPN: A106 is for the short action while MPN: A105 is for the long action.

Because this is a direct mount that attaches to the receiver, I would highly recommend going with the high mount.

What hardware is included with this mount? My rifle takes 8-40 screws. My mount did not come with these screws.

The NightForce UltraLite Remington 700 Short Action 20MOA Direct Mounts will include #8-40 hardware for short action bases and #6-40 for long action bases.

Hey Optics Planet. The Headline says SHORT action but the description below says LONG action in 4 places. Which is it?

This specific Direct Mount is the A105 which is for a Long Action. The description is below. Also, this item has been discontinued.
"A105- XTRM- Direct Mount- Rem 700 LA 1.125" High- 20 MOA- 30mm"

Christensen arms ridge line and Leupold vx5 3x15x44 mm. 1” or 1.125” I would like clearance for scope caps. What would you recommend?

The 1" high rings should give you enough clearance for that optic with caps.

Will this mount work on a Christensen arms Traverse? short action 6.5 PRC?

That is information you will have to get from Christensen Arms. They do fit the Ridgeline and Mesa rifles but I do not have specs on the Traverse.

I have a Christian Arms 6.5 creedmoor left handed mounting a Leupold vx-3i 4.5-14x40mm 30mm tube scope will this fit left handed and what height?

I have not heard of Christian Arms, but if you intended Christensen Arms then yes they are compatible with the Remington 700 mounts. The direct mount is ambidextrous and will fit a left handed action. With a 40mm objective, any of the heights from .885 will work, the 1" being the most common.

Reviews mention how well this fits on a 700 police model, this one has 8/40 screws. Will 8/40 screws not fit through the mounting holes on the base?

No, the base is made for 6-48 screws and 8-40 screws will not fit in the mount.

Will this work on at BERGARA B-14 HMR
