Yes, you could use the reticle on this scope. You could use the Nikon Spot-On Technology for this caliber with this reticle.
That's not necessarily true. You should be fine at under 75 yards, but best to use it at 75 yards and out. That is why we highly recommend getting a parallax adjustable scope that can come down to distances like 10-15 yards.
Yes, it can still be zeroed at 50 yards if that is what you want.
That will depend on how you want to mount the scope, but using a picatinny rail, you will most likely want to stick with medium rings and possibly even lows. Please email us at techsales@opticsplanet.com to discuss specific recommendations.

Yes. My uncle bought a Savage 17 WSM and installed this 4-12 x 40 Nikon scope. He uses it to take out gofers and squirrels in East Texas. He and I had a shoot out contest with me using a 22 Mag with the exact same scope. At 100 yds both rifles were very similar in accuracy using bench rests. His 17 WSM was able to shoot out beyond 100 yards with more accuracy. You won’t go wrong installing this Nikon on any Rimfire once you zero it in!
