Yes, the red dot does just adjustments that can be made to the dot to zero.

Yes, this will co-witness with the factory sights on the Glock MOS pistols. There is no need for suppressor height sights.

Does this work with the trijicon milled slide?

This is meant ONLY for Glock MOS slide. It will not be compatible with slides that are specifically machined for a Trijicon RMR.

Battery life? On/off controls?

There is no battery life advertised or listed and the unit does not have an on/off switch. It is constantly on, automatically adjusts for brightness and has an auto sleep feature.

No, this is still too high, the co-witness height is only to the reticle, the window is taller still and will require a red-dot compatible holster.

This is designed to fit flush on a Glock MOS slide, which is slightly wider than a standard 1911. It will be wider than your 1911 slide.
