is this considered a smart scope? can It be used for anything other than varmint and hogs? in colorado?

The manufacturer doesn't state the detection range of the ATN OPMOD X-Sight LTV 6-18x, Day/Night Hunting Rifle Scope. I would contact the manufacturer to get that information.

It is correct that the optic is not thermal. The optic is only night vision.
