These are just a 62 grain projectile and m855 has a steel penetrator inside of the round.

PMC X-TAC 5.56 NATO 62 Grain Green Tip LAP rounds are loaded with the SS109 steel core projectile. This projectile is an effective blend of lead core and hardened steel penetrator at the tip. Comparable to the famed Lake City M855, this is extremely high-quality ammunition used by military forces around the world.

These will go through 1/4 steel plates, unlike m855, tried several plates and m855 would NOT penetrate them. This went through 1/2” thick steel before.. the real deal.

The PMC Xtac are specifically made and sold as L.A.P. Always steel cored. Some brands have label their 5.56 as M855 green tip but do not have the core, just green paint on the tip.

These are M855 with the light armor piercing penetrator included inside the bullet. It is the Korean version of the NATO 62gr round and it does meet military specifications. The guy who said otherwise is mistaken.
