The difference is in the IR illuminator. The N455 unit has a 940nm IR illuminator which is invisible to the human eye while the N450 unit has a 850nm IR illuminator which will have a slight red hue to the illuminator which means it can be seen by the human eye. The 850nm has slightly better throw which means it has a slightly longer advertised range while the 940nm has slightly shorter range, 550 meters versus 500 meters respectively.
