what advantage, if any, does the XG50 have over the XP50?

A
Answered by Mike, guest, from TX, United States, on May 13, 2022

These units are identical in performance, with slight differences. The XG50 uses a BAE 640 sensor with 12 micron pixel pitch, while the XP50 uses a standard 640 sensor with a 17 micron pixel pitch. Essentially the lower the micron pixel pitch, the finer detail the picture quality is.
