do i just need to use a normal barrel nut wrench or do i need to buy a different one or does this come with its own proprietary wrench? — 2 Answers

The barrel nut uses a standard barrel nut wrench.

A standard at armorers wrenching will not work. I had to purchase a 1 3/16” crows foot wrench and grind down the thickness of it fit the barrel nut. It cost about $20.
