The Remington website shows the fore grip as a fuller piece, not tapered like your photo. Is this an older model? Both are listed as 19548.

The image is a stock image provided to us by Remington specifically for that part number. I would expect what Remington currently lists on their website which is the non-tapered forend.

Will this fit an older 1100 (wood stock & forend) and what is the length of the stock and forend?

Yes, this should fit your 1100. The stock has a 14" length of pull. The manufacturer does not provide a measurement for the forend.
