What is difference between ra140 and ra240? Besides price.

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Armando R., Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on April 04, 2019

The differences are the anodizing color of the trigger housing and the trigger shape. The trigger shape is slightly straighter than the standard RA-140 and not completely flat like the RA-140 flat face. It is a hybrid trigger shape between the standard curved and a flat trigger.

What is the different between the 2 models of the RA-140 triggers?

Expert Answer

Answered by Ethan C., Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on March 15, 2018

The first item, RA-140-BLK, is just the trigger. The second item, RA-140PK, is the trigger and a set of anti-walk pins.

The CMMG 4.6x30mm uses a Mil-Spec trigger. So the RISE Armament RA-140 Super Sporting Trigger should work fine in that AR.

Would this be compatible with an AR-9 Platform?

Expert Answer

Answered by Hunter, Gear Expert, from OH, United States, on July 18, 2022

The RISE Armament RA-140 Super Sporting Trigger could be used with an AR9. However, I recommend using the RISE Armament Rave 9mm PCC Trigger with Anti-Walk Pins at the link below. This model has been designed to specifically work in AR9's or PCC's and work better with blowback gas systems found in PCC set ups.

RISE Armament does not state the size of the RISE Armament RA-140 Super Sporting Trigger's hammer. I recommend contacting RISE Armament for that information. The RISE Armament RA-140 Super Sporting Trigger will work in a PCC with a Mil-Spec dimensions lower receiver. However, I recommend using the RISE Armament Rave 9mm PCC Trigger at the link below. The RISE Armament Rave 9mm PCC Trigger has a hammer specifically designed to withstand the blowback system of PCCs.

The RISE Armament RA-140 Super Sporting Trigger uses set screws that must be accessed from inside the trigger for installation. The RISE Armament Rave 140 AR Drop-In Trigger uses springs at the bottom of the housing for easier installation instead of set screws. Both can be used in a 9mm AR but I recommend using the RISE Armament Rave 9mm PCC Trigger at the link below for a 9mm AR.
