The Safariland Springfield XD 6360 ALS/SLS Mid-Ride, LVL3 Holster can be used with a belt from 1.5" to 2" .

No. The Safariland Springfield XD 6360 ALS/SLS Mid-Ride, LVL3 Holster will not work for the subcompact XD .40. Safariland only offers inside the waistband or universal fit holsters for the compact XD. I would recommend the Bulldog OWB holster found using the following link:

Safariland’s website says this won’t fit a SA XD .45 with a 5in barrel but, one of the selections on Opticsplanet does say it would fit. So does it?

Yes and no. You likely mean a 5" 45ACP which does not fit. The 5" 45 G.A.P. will though.
