It says rmr cut. Will it fit a trijicon rmr type 2 without an adapter plate?

The SIG SAUER P226 PRO-Cut Optic Ready Slide Assembly will be compatible with your Trijicon RMR. However, it requires a sealing plate in order to seal the optic to the slide and prevent moisture from making contact with the optic. A sealing plate can be found linked below:

Does the slide only need a barrel and guide rod/spring dropped in to be functional or do you need to install a firing pin + spring and other parts?

The SIG SAUER P226 PRO-Cut Optic Ready Slide Assembly includes all internal components pre-installed. You will only need the barrel and guide rod to make it functional.
