Yes, this Sig Sauer threaded barrel is a drop in barrel for the Sig P227 and (full size) P220 model pistols chambered in .45ACP.

I own a P220 Elite and was looking for a threaded barrel, can you tell me if this would fit the P220 Elite, the current barrel is 3.9 inches.

The SIG SAUER Barrel, Threaded, 220, 45 will not work with the 3.9" barrel models.

No, half by 28 will be written as 1/2x28. The .578x28 is a different thread pitch.
