No, this optic will only fit the SIG SAUER M17/M18 military issue and commemorative pistols with a single optics plate mounting screw. This is due to SIG SAUER'S proprietary SIG-LOC mounting interface, which the civilian P320-M17 & P320-M18 pistols do not have.
The "Expert" answer her is incorrect, this optic ONLY works with MIL-Issued M17/M18 and the Commemorative versions of the M17/M18 as it utilizes the SIG-LOK mounting system.
Remember, Civilian versions with the "P320-M17/18" markings are cut for the Delta Point Pro foot print so ANY optic with the DPP footprint will work
Unfortunately Ethan’s previous answer is incorrect. This optic fits ONLY the military mounting system that uses a single screw to secure the rear sights. The optic is compatible with the military product M17 and M18 sold through SIG’s professional program, surplus pistols, and commemorative pistols. It will not mount on any of SIG’s commercial P320 / M17 / M18 models.
Ethan must not actually be an expert because this does not fit “P320 M17/18” which is civilian version. It only fits DoD issued M17/18, the surplus buyback M17s, and the 10,000 run M17/18 Commemorative handguns. Unless you are in the Army, USMC, or shelled out $$$ for a commemorative and/or surplus gun, this will not fit your retail bought P320 M17/18.
You can check your M17/M18 if it has one or two mounting screws for the Romeo M17 optic. At the back of your M18 there is a backplate that is held in place by the plunger, take a small pen and depress the plunger and slowly pull it out and at the same time slowly slide the backplate off the slide. Set them aside. You then slowly remove the striker from the slide be carefull not to lose the spring also becareful not to lose the little slide retention. Look under the slude and you will be able to determine if your M18 has one optic plate screw.
Just talked to sig they said it will not fit. The California compliant version it will only fit the military issue or military surplus or military commemorative ones.
No, this will only fit US Military contract pistols. if your pistol says it will fit the Romeo 1, this will NOT fit. these were made to fit only mil-spec pistols. it will not fit anything sold in California because the CA DOJ has Never allowed the mil-spec pistol to be imported from the US. Yeah, I wrote what everyone was thinking.
Ethan is not correct .. his answer below on the fit of the scorpion is the correct answer and contradicts this answer. Only the surplus and commemorative issued versions M17/M18 will fit this one.
No! This is specifically for military spec M17 and M18 pistols, not the commercial version.
No, it will only fit the military decommissioned or contract overrun M17/M18.
