Would you recommend the no. 6 or no. 8 front sight for a p238?

The #6 is the better option as it is normally the standard height provided from the manufacturer.

Will these work on the P365X models that have an optics plate? I.e. does the rear sight have two screw holes

This SIG SAUER X-Ray3 Pistol Sight Set will be compatible with a P365X since the optic plate is separate from the rear sight on P365X model pistols.
